A’s continue to look for solutions at top of the lineup

CLEVELAND – That Mark Canha got another start in center field Wednesday spoke both to the face that A’s manager Bob Melvin likes what he’s seen from Canha in a position that’s new to him and the fact that Rajai Davis has yet to be the player Oakland had hoped he’d be when they went after him in free agency in the offseason.

And yes, it has something to do with the A’s propensity to strike out, too.

The A’s are careful to make sure that they don’t overtax the 35-year-old Davis’ legs. So he gets plenty of time off.
