ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – You can add Saturday’s 6-5 loss to the Rays to the A’s long list of troubles on the road this year.
Oakland fell to 8-2 away from home when Evan Longoria singled off Liam Hendriks to score Petere Bourjos from second base with the game winner.
Bourjos opened the 10th with a single past diving A’s second baseman Jed Lowrie, then took second on a Hendriks wild pitch.
The end result was the A’s 22nd loss in 30 road games, one reason Oakland is a season-worst nine games under .500 at 26-35.
