The A’s announced their coaching staff for the 2020 season.
Mark Kotsay and Ryen Christenson, who both reportedly were up for some of the many managerial positions in the MLB, will return to their posts as quality control coach and bench coach, respectively.
Kotsay interviewed for the open managerial position in San Francisco, a candidate to take over for Bruce Bochy. Christenson reportedly interviewed for the open managerial position in Pittsburgh.
With third base coach Matt Williams leaving the team to manage the Kia Tigers for the Korean Baseball League, Al Pedrique will move from his first base coach post around the diamond to third base.
