The A’s are making a mother’s “dream come true.”

An A’s fan with family ties to the club wrote to team president Dave Kaval on Twitter about his ailing mom, who recently found out she has lung, brain and bone cancer. The fan asked if his mother could “step onto the field” at the Oakland Coliseum.

“If that could happen it would make her happier than I think anything could,” Matt Robello wrote Saturday night.

Kaval responded with an enthusiastic “Yes.”

We would be happy to have her out to throw out the first pitch!
