A’s add outfielders, left-hander on minor-league deals

After trading Ryon Healy in order to move Khris Davis to the DH spot, the A’s offseason shopping list now includes corner outfielders, and the team has added two of them via minor-league deals this month.

Longtime Cardinals prospects Anthony Garcia, a right-handed hitter, and Nick Martini, a left-handed hitter, both will be invited to big-league spring training.

Garcia, 25, hit .294 at Double-A Springfield with 15 homers and 69 RBIs but hit just .179 with one homer and three RBIs in 14 games at Triple A; he was an 18th-round pick as a 17-year-old out of San Juan Educational School in Puerto Rico.
