The A's on Wednesday acquired right-handed pitcher Wilmer Font from the Dodgers in exchange for Minor League pitcher Logan Salow, the club announced.
Font was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Monday after going 0-2 with an 11.32 ERA through six relief appearances. The five home runs he surrendered is tied for the most among MLB relievers.
Font, 27, has pitched in 14 games across four seasons with the Rangers (2012-13) and Dodgers ('17-18). He was named the Pacific Coast League's Pitcher of the Year in 2017 after leading the league in ERA, WHIP, opponents' batting average and strikeouts.
