If Kendall Graveman were having a better year, he might get a little more of a pass for his outing Friday.
As it is, though, serving up a game-tying three-run homer by Jackie Bradley Jr. fit an ugly trend a little too well, then Graveman was charged with three more runs in the sixth when reliever Emilio Pagan took over from him and served up a first-pitch grand slam to Mitch Moreland. The two homers accounted for all of Boston’s scoring in a 7-3 victory that snapped Oakland’s four-game winning streak.
Graveman, the A’s Opening Day starter, is teetering on the edge of losing his roster spot.
