Another in a series of lackluster performances by the A’s

CLEVELAND – Monday’s Memorial Day game peaked for the A’s before the first pitch was thrown when outfielder Rajai Davis was presented with his ring for being part of Cleveland’s 2016 American League Championship team.

From there it was just another day in bad baseball on the road en route to a 5-3 loss to the Indians leaving the A’s with a 22-28 record 50 games into the season.

Daniel Mengden, making his first big league start of the season after having surgery on his right foot in February, not only gave up three homer in falling behind by five runs in the first four innings, but he took a hard shot off his right foot in the fourth.
