SEATTLE — Brett Anderson is expected to rejoin the A’s rotation and start on Wednesday, the team’s latest Turn Back the Clock Day.
Anderson is in the A’s clubhouse at Safeco Field, where they open a three-game series against the Mariners on Tuesday night. The lefty will be reunited with Trevor Cahill as 40 percent of the rotation, similar to their days in a previous era.
They were A’s teammates from 2009 to 2013 and returned this year as a couple of 30-year-olds, both signing minor-league contracts.
Anderson is replacing Opening Day starter Kendall Graveman, who was demoted to Triple-A Nashville after posting an 8.
