Andrew Triggs solid again in six innings vs. Seattle

SEATTLE — Andrew Triggs did one thing he seldom does Tuesday: He gave up a home run, only the second he has allowed this season, a solo shot by Nelson Cruz in the first.

Otherwise, Triggs was terrific. He scattered three other hits over his six innings and walked two while striking out four. His 2.12 ERA is fourth best in the league.

“He’s been solid and consistent, just attacking the zone,” outfielder Rajai Davis said. “He’s got good stuff.”

Catcher Josh Phegley helped, throwing out two would-be basestealers.
