Alonso posted a slash line of .409/.480/1.136 for the week against the Twins and Tigers, producing a 1.616 OPS that was best in the Majors. He had multiple hits in four of his six games during the week.
Alonso's monster week gave him nine home runs in 2017 -- as many as he's had in any season of his eight-year MLB career. Alonso is now hitting .311/.386/.667, with the nine homers and 24 RBIs on the year.
