CLEVELAND – Adam Rosales has never asked for a day off, which is not to say the A’s shortstop doesn’t need the one he got Monday in Cleveland.
He was 2-for-11 in three starts in New York and adding in the 1-for-19 skid he went through on the last homestand has just three hits in his last 30 at-bats. So Chad Pinder was in the A’s lineup batting second Monday with Rosales getting a rest.
The veteran has played all over the field in his career and has approximately the same amount of playing time at second, third and short.
