MESA, Ariz. — While there’s usually quite a bit of turnover with the A’s roster every season, predicting the 25 players who will begin 2018 in Oakland may not be as perplexing as it’s been the previous few years.
A’s manager Bob Melvin has a lineup that for the most part he can feel comfortable rolling out on a daily basis. Additions to the relief corps have turned the bullpen into one that has carved out specific roles for most of its inhabitants. The real competition comes with the multiple players battling for spots in the starting rotation and on coming off the bench.
