The Oakland A's added to their organization outfield depth on Friday, inking former Chicago White Sox slugger Dayan Viciedo to a minor league deal.

The Chicago White Sox released Viciedo back in early February after the signing of Gordon Beckham. The A's were one of the teams that reportedly had interest in Viciedo after his release, but he ended up joining the Toronto Blue Jays on a minor league deal instead.
Viciedo has a career slash line of .254/.298/.424 with 66 home runs in 1,798 plate appearances. If he can cut down his strikeouts, which was a big part of the problem in Chicago, he could function as a solid platoon bat for the A's against lefties.
