The Fighting Irish are sitting outside the College Football Playoff looking in.
Though Notre Dame defeated Boston College at Fenway Park last weekend, the CFP committee bumped them out of the top four. They could find their way back in with a win against No. 9 Stanford, but it’ll have to be in convincing fashion.
