Over the years, as I’ve interviewed numerous former Notre Dame Fighting Irish football players, race conversations don’t always come up; but at times they most certainly do. I don’t ever want to force people to talk about subjects they don’t want to discuss, but if tough topics come up, I’m always ready to have those conversations. And, if we can educate others through these tough conversations, I’m all for that as well. When I sat down to speak with former Notre Dame wide receiver Bobby Brown in 2012, he shared some stories with me that I think are very timely right now with all of the tough conversations that are taking place.
