The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a roster full of players, and we want to talk about all of them. One Foot Down’s player profile series will take a look at every single one of them, and hopefully we all learn a little bit more about these guys, and Notre Dame’s chances for the upcoming 2018 season.
Jonathan Doerer is a sophomore kicker/punter from Charlotte who came to Notre Dame a year ago as a rangy and athletic (6’3”, 200 pounds now) three-star kicking prospect.
He saw time in seven games last season as a kickoff specialist, and looks to be the likely starter in that role in 2018, as well as backup place kicker behind senior Justin Yoon.
