If you predicted that Notre Dame would play Texas on a Sunday in prime time and that Texas would use the occasion to roll out the newest iteration of Bevo, their longhorn mascot, come collect your money.
Yesterday, Texas announced that “Bevo XV” would make his debut against the Irish. He is evidently in training right now and the event is apparently the one hundredth year of Bevo-ness. Texas’ television network, the Longhorn Network, “will commemorate the 100th anniversary and welcome Bevo XV with related content.” I am not making that up.
I didn’t know this, and maybe you did, so sorry, but Bevo XIV died in October of last season.
