If last week’s episode of “A Season With Notre Dame” on Showtime centered around the season-ending injury to quarterback Malik Zaire wasn’t emotional enough for you, tonight’s installment seems to be another tearjerker.
Episode three focuses on the Fighting Irish’s 30-22 win over Georgia Tech, during which sophomore safety Drue Tranquill suffered a torn ACL while celebrating following a big play. Prior to getting hurt, Tranquill had played a tremendous fist half, and ND head coach Brian Kelly gave him the game ball following the win.
