Her Loyal Sons has exclusively learned that Notre Dame senior safety Max Redfield intends to leave the university and transfer to Eastern Washington, a Football Championship Subdivision school, for his final year of eligibility.
Redfield’s transfer comes as somewhat of a shock, even though true freshman Devin Studstill had been seen taking first-team reps at the free safety position.
In a statement posted to his Twittergram account, the former Mission Viejo, Calif. resident said:
I feel a calling deep within my loins. It’s my ancestors calling me home. They have spoken to me loud and they have spoken to me clear.
