Fighting Irish fans likely aren’t fans of pro-SEC ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum in the first place. After hearing what he has to say about Notre Dame’s 2015 title chances, that likely won’t change.
Friday, Finebaum made a bold prediction, stating that he doesn’t believe that the Fighting Irish will compete for a national championship this year. While he believes Notre Dame has a good team, he thinks the schedule, which features Georgia Tech, Clemson, USC and Stanford, is too difficult. He added that he isn’t sure when the school will be able to compete for a national title, either.
