The Notre Dame Fighting Irish Women’s Basketball team just announced that they will take a great step in making Muffet McGraw’s name permanently a part of Purcell Pavilion. On Sunday, December 12, Notre Dame will honor former Head Coach Muffet McGraw by adding her name to the Ring of Honor. A banner with her name will forever hang in the rafters of Purcell Pavilion.
The ceremony will take place just before the tip-off of NDWBB’s home game against Purdue-Fort Wayne around 2 PM. The linked press release in the above tweet mentions that she is the seventh member of the Ring of Honor from the women’s basketball team.
