After an injury ridden freshman season, Jordan Nixon is already pushing herself in the right direction to be one of the star players for the upcoming season. This weekend, Nixon, a rising sophomore on the Notre Dame Women’s basketball team, was named to the USA Basketball under 19 World Cup team. The team will travel to Bangkok, Thailand this summer to take on the world’s best.
Abby Prohaska was also in consideration for the team, but did not make the final roster. Nixon is one of twelve players who will be a part of the roster, joining four other rising sophomores who played division one basketball last season.
