Notre Dame lost quarterback Riley Leonard, who led them to the National Championship last season, to the NFL, so a quarterback battle has brewed in South Bend. The Fighting Irish have two young quarterbacks, CJ Carr and Kenny Minchey, battling it out for the starting position.
Many people already believe that Carr has won the battle early in fall camp, but when speaking to the media today, Minchey made sure to remind everyone this battle is still very much alive.
"I'm capable," Minchey said. "I believe I'm the best quarterback in the country."
Those are some big words for a young quarterback, but confidence is never a bad thing to have, especially in a position battle.
