Senior track all-everything Molly Seidel was named the 2015-2016 Mary Garber Award winner by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association on June 30. The award is given annually to the ACC’s top female athlete. Some guy named Deshaun Watson won the men’s award.
Molly won four national championships in her senior year: 2015 NCAA Outdoor 10,000 meters, 2015 NCAA Cross Country 6k, 2016 NCAA Indoor 3,000 meters, and 2016 NCAA Indoor 5,000 meters. She also managed a 3.54 cumulative GPA and became just the third Notre Dame female track and field athlete to take first team All-American honors.
