Many of you Midwesterners, myself included, have become increasingly frustrated with Mother Nature as she refuses to be reasonable with those of us living in the heartland. The team started the 2019 season in the sunshine and kicked off February in Mexico in the Puerto Vallara College Challenge. The Irish then moved on to the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Clearwater Invitational in Florida on Thursday.
The tournament in Mexico ended with two wins for the Irish against Washington (3-2) and Liberty (4-1), and two losses to Duke (3-7) and South Carolina (4-7). The Fighting Irish went head to head with the University of Oklahoma Sooners this Valentine’s Day to end the first day of the Invitational.
