According to a report from FootballScoop, the Fighting Irish are within 48 hours finalizing a deal with Showtime to be featured in a mini-series in the same vein as HBO’s popular documentary series Hard Knocks.
Love them or hate them, the Notre Dame football program draws eyeballs to the television set and the never dull Brian Kelly would make for some riveting TV. It also doesn’t hurt that the Irish are expected to fair pretty well this season.
Sources tell FootballScoop that the series would shoot twelve episodes (one for each regular season game) and would be shown Tuesday nights immediately following Inside the NFL.
