The Notre Dame Fighting Irish headed to Columbus Saturday to take on the Ohio State University Buckeyes. The Irish had it 3-0 at one point but the Buckeyes snuck in during the third period to shake things up. These two teams took it to overtime, but it was Notre Dame that ended this exciting one.
First Period
Notre Dame fans have gotten used to seeing shaky first periods, but it was the irish who set the tone this time around. A goal from Alex Steeves put Notre Dame on the board early in the period.
