Notre Dame Hockey: 2020-21 College Season Officially Delayed

The Hockey Commissioners Association, representing all Division I men’s and women’s ice hockey conferences, announced today that the start of the 2020-21 season will officially be delayed due to the impact of COVID-19.

The statement released says that all conferences are working on plans for the season individually. With Notre Dame Fighting Irish a member of the Big Ten conference in hockey, we can probably assume that the hockey season won’t start until at least the football season does. Although, according to John Buccigross on Twitter (@Buccigross), the Big Ten is considering possibilities that include a bubble for the teams, which could get them back on the ice sooner than later.
