Saturday night in South Bend, Notre Dame football took down the Michigan Wolverines 24-17. This game was pretty much controlled by the Irish throughout, and the score doesn’t indicate how true that statement is. The defense played lights out and the offense did enough to keep the lead throughout the entire game — maintaining a double-digit lead for for the majority of the contest.
This game wouldn’t have gone the way it did if it wasn’t for the play of quarterback Brandon Wimbush. Right from the start he was completely locked in — converting on a 3rd and long on the very first drive of the season.
