The Fighting Irish hosted Junior Day and well over 25 high school juniors attended the event. Right after the event, five recruits gave their verbal commitments.
We will review two of the recruits, Avery Davis and Pete Werner.
Avery Davis
Avery Davis is a 6 foot, 180 lb. quarterback from Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill, Texas. He is rated a four-star quarterback by scout.com and 247sports.com. Hunter Johnson, a quarterback from the state of Indiana was Notre Dame’s first choice, but a few months ago he committed to the University of Tennessee. He later flipped to Clemson, where he is currently a verbal commit.
