On Sunday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish received a commitment from 3-Star defensive end/outside linebacker Will Schweitzer from Los Gatos, California. Schweitzer decommitted from the Nebraska Cornhuskers just hours before his announcement to jump on this late offer by the Irish.
Besides Nebraska, Will had a good list of offers from around the country including the Michigan State Spartans, Arkansas Razorbacks, Arizona State Sun Devils and more.
A bit of a tweener, doesn’t have the weight to be a defensive end, but has the pass rushing ability to stand up off the edge and get to the quarterback while also dropping into coverage to cover tight ends and backs.
