Kevin Austin, a four star wide receiver from Pompano Beach, Florida, committed to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish today. Austin chose the Irish over a long list of power schools in the south including: the Miami-Florida Hurricanes, Florida Gators, Tennessee Volunteers, and Clemson Tigers.
However... it was the Duke Blue Devils that have been the biggest competition with 6'3" 200 pound Austin.
Austin is seeking the best possible combination of academics and athletics, and Duke and Notre Dame have been on the top of his list in both regards.
