For anyone that follows Notre Dame Fighting Irish football recruiting, the news of 4-Star offensive lineman Greg Crippen’s decommitment comes as no surprise. Although the 6’4 290 pound guard from IMG Academy had been committed to Notre Dame since March 27 of last year, his name had become notoriously absent when talking about the 2021 class.
Crippen chose the Irish over programs like the Michigan Wolverines and Alabama Crimson Tide — but there is no word on what his next step will be in the coming months. For the Irish, with Blake Fisher still in the fold and going hard after guys like Rocco Spindler, Nolan Rucci, and others — they will be fine.
