On Thursday, 4-Star linebacker Jaiden Ausberry announced his commitment to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a CBS broadcast from his high school. The 6’1” 210 pounder from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, chose the Irish over a strong list of finalists that included the LSU Tigers, Auburn Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, Florida Gators, Alabama Crimson Tide, and the Michigan Wolverines.
Jaiden’s father played for LSU in college, and his brother Austin will be a freshman football player for Auburn this season.
Ausberry is a border-dweller of most Top 100 players, although both 247 Sports and On3 dropped him down around 200 for no real reason.
