Despite the difficulties of recruiting right now because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish picked up a commitment from 3-Star offensive lineman Pat Coogan on Wednesday.
The Chicago native chose the Irish over a long list of schools like the LSU Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Missouri Tigers, and others. The “others” go from coast to coast — which makes Coogan a big-time national prospect.
The Irish recently had a “decommitment” from Greg Crippen, but the worst kept secret in the 2021 class is that Notre Dame had long changed their mind about Crippen.
