The 2021 Notre Dame Fighting Irish recruiting class got a huge addition on Saturday. Ryan Barnes, a 6’2” 180 pound cornerback from Maryland made his commitment known with a smooth announcement video.
Barnes chose the Irish over a hefty offer list that includes the Clemson Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Florida State Seminoles, Tennessee Volunteers, Georgia Bulldogs, Maryland Terrapins, and many others.
This isn’t an average 3-Star player.
Despite being the lowest rated recruit in the class so far, there is an expectation with Barnes that is equal to a top end 4-Star ranking.
