During this college football offseason, Sports Illustrated has set out to declare the “Position U” for each football position group. To do so, they looked at how players from each college, including Notre Dame football, have performed in the NFL over the past ten years.
Players were given a score based on where they were selected in the NFL Draft, how many games they started, and whether or not they have received any honors (e.g. Offensive/Defensive Player of the Year, All-Pro, etc.).
When it came to Sports Illustrated naming the “Offensive Line U,” Irish fans knew the result before the article was even published.
