Jason Onye received an offer from Mike Elston and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team back in December and since then the Irish almost seemed like the instant team to beat. All that was needed was for him to get on campus for the big recruiting weekend which everyone expected would be the time he made it official but that obviously didn’t go as planned with the shutdown.
At the end of the day, that didn’t stop and slow down Onye from wanting to pull the trigger and publicly announce he wanted to be in South Bend.
