The next thing that comes to mind is Notre Dame’s extensive rivalries with big-time schools such as USC, Stanford, and Michigan State.
Over the years, there has been a trophy adopted within each rivalry that goes home with the winner of each year’s matchup. Notre Dame currently holds all of them.
That seems to be a fact that has gone widely unnoticed and under appreciated.
For Notre Dame to hold each and every rivalry trophy means that is has beaten each of its rivals in the past year or at least recently.
