Notre Dame Football: Cornerback Donte Vaughn Has Shoulder Surgery

Donte Vaughn, a cornerback for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, underwent shoulder surgery on Thursday to repair a torn labrum according to his father, Lewis. Mr. Vaughn also stated that the surgery went well, and Donte is now recovering.

Vaughn was last seen in the Cotton Bowl against the Clemson Tigers. He came in for an injured Julian Love in the second quarter — right when Clemson caught fire through the air.

So it all makes sense, really.

Vaughn was one of the bright spots of the 2016 season when he was a freshman.
