Jeremiyah Love didn't win the Heisman trophy in 2025. While there's some groundswell to try and get him to come back for another try, there's already another Notre Dame Fighting Irish player who is getting buzz for the trophy in 2026.
CJ Carr is one of the early darkhorse candidates for the Heisman trophy next year. That shouldn't be surprising considering he threw for 2,741 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions in his freshman season. He also led the Irish to 10 straight wins after a 0-2 start.
It will undoubtedly be interesting to see what happens in his sophomore season and whether a team that will be looking to replace Jeremiyah Love and possibly Jadarian Price might pass more.
