Notre Dame Fighting Irish News: Hoops domination, Bus Jr., more

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are in the best part of the year, in that the football season is heading towards the College Football Playoffs, while the basketball season is just getting started. That includes the women's basketball team.

On Sunday, Niele Ivey's squad improved to 2-0 on the season by trouncing Chicago State, 116-58. For the second-straight outing, all five Notre Dame starters finished in double figures for points, led by Hannah Hidalgo's 32-point effort. Cassandre Prosper (28 points) and KK Bransford (21) each posted career highs for scoring in the victory.

Both Hidalgo and Prosper flirted with a triple-double, as Hidalgo added eight rebounds, eight assists, and four steals to complete her all-around performance.
