Going into the Sun Bowl, the big story was all of the players that were NOT playing for both Notre Dame and Oregon State. In the end, the guys who showed up to play for the Irish were more than enough to dominate the Beavers in a 40-8 victory in El Paso.
On Notre Dame’s first possession, they went 96 yards on 11 plays and it was Jayden Thomas with the touchdown reception to put the Irish up 7-0. Steve Angeli connected with Jordan Faison with a big 55 yard pass pay during the drive to help the Irish effort.
