Before leading the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to and ACC Championship and back-to-back Elite Eights, Demetrius Jackson starred for at Marian High School in nearby Mishawaka, IN. Because of his exploits on and off the court both at Marian and Notre Dame, Marian and the city of Mishawaka decided to honor Jackson last February. A year ago today, Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood declared that February 9th would be Demetrius Jackson Day and presented him with a key to the city.
