The Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball team faced the Mississippi State Bulldogs in game three of the Super Regional, with the winner advancing to the College World Series. Unfortunately Notre Dame fell behind early and they just couldn’t complete the comeback, falling short in a season ending loss.

Notre Dame got ahead early in the first inning when Ryan Cole hit a home run with one out in the first inning. Mississippi State was able to string together a few hits in the bottom of the inning though to tie the game.
