The #2 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball team was in action over the weekend with a series of games in Greenville, SC against the Marist College Red Foxes and the Monmouth University Hawks. Originally scheduled to play two games against each team, Notre Dame beat Marist on Friday before sweeping a double header against Monmouth on Saturday. Their second game against Marist on Sunday was then cancelled due to inclement weather.

Notre Dame jumped out in front of Marist early in the opening game, scoring eight runs in the first inning.
