Nick Martin is in a good spot- in fact… Nick Martin is in a great spot. If you take everything else away, Nick Martin was the second rated center by virtually everyone as he entered the NFL Draft. Centers are a peculiar bunch, and if you’re even just “okay” as a player, the need alone will make teams grab you a little quicker.
The thing is though, is that Nick Martin is a really good football player and he just got drafted by a fairly good football team. What else could be sweeter? Oh I don’t know, but if I had to guess, I’d say that entering the league with a teammate from your school (Will Fuller was drafted by Houston in the first round- duh) onto the same team in the NFL adds a whole lot of help.
