Former Notre Dame wide receiver Golden Tate gets released by the New York Giants

The New York Giants have released former Notre Dame Fighting Irish wide receiver Golden Tate.

In Tate’s two years with the Giants, he caught 84 balls for 1064 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Golden has now been in the league for 11 years and it’s questionable how many years he may have left in the tank. During those 11 years in the NFL, Tate has more YAC than anyone else in the league with 4,353.

Tate was a second round pick for the Seattle Seahawks in 2010, after 3 productive years at Notre Dame where which he won the Biletnikoff Award for his performance in the 2009 season.
