Former Notre Dame student-athlete David Bruton -- a team captain with the Denver Broncos -- broke his leg in the first quarter and played the rest of the game thinking it was a "bruise."
David also "survived" a vicious late -- helmet to helmet hit -- from the Steelers' Cody Wallace. Bruton broke his leg two plays prior this hit. The NFL is expected to levy a significant fine on Wallace -- see video above.
